Between Tides

Learning How We Learn | Neuroscience vs Psychology

Portage Learning Season 1 Episode 6

What do you want to learn about next?

How do we learn? From taking in information, short-term vs long-term memory, to how our brains process and store information.

Learning is a skill. Teaching your brain how you learn takes time and practice. Learning is not just knowing, but having the tools to evaluate information and apply that knowledge in other areas.

Today, we sat down with two experts, Dr. Diana Rice and Dr. Brittny Martinez, to discuss the learning process in the brain through a biological and psychological approach.

Dr. Rice got her PhD in Social Psychology from Syracuse University and
Dr. Martinez received her PhD in Neuroscience from Penn State University.
